Hello all~
I'm back with another somewhat-monthly update!
I have a job! It's part-time, and it's only temporary, but it gets me out of the house three days a week and some money. I'm working at the brewery again, but in a different place 'cause someone else filled my old job. I'm doing data entry for the Quality Control peeps and it's really mindless work, but that just means I can listen to ebooks while I work so I essentially get paid to re-read Harry Potter. Whoo!
They said they'd need me for like 6 weeks or so since they had the backlog of data entry from this year as well as some of last year. I... I might have finished this year's already and I've worked 4 days. :s I started on last year's and I don't think it'll take me very long. They hired a (crappy) CS student and didn't expect me to type fast and know my way around shortcuts? Pleeease. Though, I probably should slow down so I can actually get paid something significant.
Health-wise, I... I might have actually found something that works. I've been on the new combination for over a month now (though haven't been on the full dose of one of them for a month yet) and while I haven't noticed much of a difference in my mood, I think the pain might be quite manageable now! The one I went to a full dose of recently is a mood enhancer/happy pill/whatever but apparently it's also used with gabapentin (the original sort of... pain nerve suppressant or whatever?) to enhance the effect since it also does that. Last TOTM, I didn't have much pain at all. Well, relatively. It was enough that I could walk around and aside from my ridiculously awful mood, I was fine. But it was also over a week early so it might've just been a weird TOTM in general. D: I don't know for sure yet but I'm hopeful. Insomnia's also improved, too. I thought it was mostly gone for a week or so but it's started getting worse again. Stil
I'm going back to school in September whether I'm "better" or not since I've been kicked off Dad's insurance. If I'm a full time student, I can still be on his plan and thus not have to pay $90 for a month's worth of drugs. x_X I'm waiting for a payment to go through and then we can send my intention off to the insurance place and yay no more making my parents broke so I can walk around 1/4th of my life~ Hopefully. Not sure where I'm gonna live yet. My brother's gonna be in dorms which are full up for fall term so I'll have to find someone looking for a roommate. Might be a chance to live closer to the school.
Umm aside from all that... Uhh. I'm going to Saskatchewan for the first time in years and will see family who think I ditched my cousin's wedding to go to an anime con (when in reality I'd planned the con and booked the hotel and was generally in charge of the group going for months before the wedding was announced) and even ignoring that, I just haven't seen them in forever so I'm a little worried it'll be awkward. :( We're going up to a lake or something. It was either that or roadtrip down to New Jersey alone with my dad which I really did not want to do so... *sigh* Originally we were gonna go to NYC for a week-ish but then that changed to Philadelphia to see a concert my dad wanted to see, then stopping a few hours in NYC, New Jersey for two nights, and then Ottawa for concerts I was not interested in at all. And then mom said she wasn't going and I just... ugh. No thanks. I was already considering asking to stay home altogether because by the time our "trip to NYC" was cut down to "3 hours in NYC so Erica can stop at that store she wants to go to", I just did not think it was worth the stress of dad yelling at us lots which always happens on road trips. Coming back in time to see the last Harry Potter movie with my friends. ♥
Oh, I saw Glee! Live the other week. :D
tortoises was in North America on a trip from Australia and swung up here to go to it with me. We originally got meh-tickets but sold them off when they added a new day on Sunday and managed to get front-row tickets. And then when we got there, it turned out that it was
front row centre. We were so close and it was an amazing concert. I touched Cory, Lea and Ashley (Finn, Rachel & Lauren). It was funny when Lea reached out to the crowd because we're both super short and it was an amazing effort to touch and I'm amazed she even bothered, haha. n_n;; It was also really cool meeting JA since I've known her like... 8 years or more, haha.
I was gonna write about fandom and stuff too but now I don't feel like being on the computer anymore. I might go to bed, actually. Or go play more Tales of VS since I'm so close to completing it... even if all I'm doing is levelling up Jade instead of doing the special battles to get the last character. Derp.
